    Intramedullary spinal cord tumors (IMSCT) refer to a subgroup of intradural spinal tumors that arise from cells within the spinal cord, as opposed to adjacent structures such as the nerve roots or meninges. Most commonly intramedullary spinal tumors are ependymomas, astrocytomas, and hemangioblastomas.
