    Intramedullary Spinal Cord Tumors in Bulandshahr


    Intramedullary spinal cord tumors (IMSCT) refer to a subgroup of intradural spinal tumors that arise from cells within the spinal cord, as opposed to adjacent structures such as the nerve roots or meninges. Most commonly intramedullary spinal tumors are ependymomas, astrocytomas, and hemangioblastomas. Symptoms are pain at the site of the tumor, chronic back pain, feeling less sensitive to pain, heat and cold, loss of bowel or bladder function, difficulty walking. Causes are neurofibromatosis 2 and Von Hippel-Lindau disease. IMSCT is treated by Neurosurgeons.
